standing out in a crowed

I used an 8/12X11 sheet of printing paper and colored highlighters for this project. The idea was to make repetitive lines of a single color and filling the gap between each line with another single color to create a pattern but the colors themselves are bright and seem to call to mind a more outgoing and open feeling. I made the eye to represent the human element in an office setting, where people can come to feel like just one in a number of faceless entities. I used the bright colors for this as well to remind the viewer that it takes effort but that they can still stand out in the crowed. This way no matter how repetitive a job may be, we can choose to make it part of us and not all of us.
